Your team at Palm Beach HOG is committed to assisting you in making motorcycle riding safe and enjoyable. We understand that riding a motorcycle takes more skill than driving a car and has more risk involved. Riders like motorcycles come in all types and react differently. The levels of riding experience also vary from the novice or new owner, weekend rider, daily rider and those that enjoy the long hauls. As we continue to ride our experience, knowledge and reactions become enhanced. This is not to say we as riders will know everything or reach a level where we have learned it all.

With Palm Beach HOG, we are riding most every weekend in groups of various sizes and utilize the staggered riding formation (example #1). When group riding your experience can and will come into play. The more experience we have the safer we keep ourselves and the group. Below you will find additional examples of best practices for group riding.
The Road Captain who is leading the ride will communicate with the group by using hand signals (examples #5). It is each rider’s responsibility to pass these signals to the riders behind them by using the signals as they are passed and observed ahead of them.
